Drawing A Twisted Zombie

A twisted Zombie is my own phrase that essentially means a rotten Zombie with missing facial features and in this case the Zombie we shall learn to draw in the face to start off with has no bottom jaw bone and the tongue is all a rotten looking mess too and that's what is fun about drawing a Zombie face, keeping it real and as undead as you like.

Using whatever sketching pencils that you are comfortable with is the best way to start. I use a really soft grade pencil in these videos most of the time as they are nice and dark and you can still sketch with them, even though they produce a thick dark line on the paper they can be rubbed out quite easily, so long as you haven't pressed too hard on the papers surface with them. A 4 or 5B pencil is ideal, although a standard HB drawing pencil is good too.

The start of the Zombie head sketch is taken up by a lot of draft sketching to get a feel for the Zombie drawing and you can produce a good piece of Zombie art if you just have confidence in the process and just go for it. Watch in the art video to see how you begin to draw a head of a Zombie as this is the basics of drawing most creatures, the head first helps to set up the full figure later on in some quite mysterious way.
